Do you know who Aridnyk is? Karpaty arch-father, sovereign spirit of the Afterworld, the overlord of the Polonyna spirits, one of the main personalities of Hutsul legends. One of those legends we will tell over in “Aridnyk. Creation of the world.” At the heart of the story are tall tales collected by Volodymyr Shukhevych in the ethnographic miscellany “Hutsulʹshchyna”.
