“For their own good. Chapter 1: The Library” is a sci-fi post-apocalyptic story about the future of humanity, in which technological progress and the desire to improve life have led civilization to collapse. This is the story of a world that has taken a different path. It is a story of fall and rebirth, where new forces emerge and fight among themselves in the old, burned world. At the same time, it is the story of the characters’ search for their personal moral compasses and their testing by trials and difficult choices.
Even in the ruins of a shattered civilization, those who remain know that the old world has not disappeared. It is only sleeping, safely sheltered by these ruins. But what can the desperate desire to return at least some part of it result in? An obsession that clouds the brain or a goal that will dispel the fog of doubt and hesitation. The insignificant details of everyday life, abandoned junk, and a long string of memories are now the only connection to life that everyone in this world would like to return.
